CRIB
Est. MMXXVI
India

An index for
Indian cricket.

CRIB is a national registry where academies, players, and the professionals who train them are recorded, verified, and ranked on a common scale.

India has more competitive young cricketers than any country in the world, in over four thousand academies, across twenty-eight states. Most of them are invisible to the people who could change their careers. CRIB is the registry that ends that.

§ 01The Gap

The current pathway works.
It just doesn’t see everyone.

~4,000

Private cricket academies in India. Most maintain their own records, on their own systems, with no common standard.

38

BCCI-affiliated state associations administer the official pathway. Below that level, talent is identified ad-hoc.

10

IPL franchises, each running independent scouting operations, looking at fundamentally the same talent pool with fundamentally different lenses.

CRIB does not replace the BCCI pathway. It is the layer underneath: where a sixteen-year-old in a Tier-3 town and a sixteen-year-old at an elite urban academy can be measured on the same scale, watched in the same library, and considered in the same conversation.

§ 02The Registry

Three records.
One index.

I. Players

The National Player Index

Verified profiles for every academy player, with standardised physical metrics, match record, and video. Ranked monthly by role, age group, and region.

  • Age-verified at registration
  • CRIB Combine results, where attended
  • Match logs from registered academies
  • Video library, parent-consented
II. Academies

The Academy Register

Every registered academy is audited for facilities, coaching credentials, and player welfare. Listings carry a CRIB accreditation tier — visible to players, parents, and scouts.

  • Three-tier accreditation
  • Documented coach credentials
  • Facility audit on record
  • Annual review
III. Professionals

The Support-Staff Marketplace

Credentialled physiotherapists, S&C coaches, performance analysts, and sports psychologists, listed where academies and franchises can actually find them.

  • Council-registered practitioners
  • Documented experience & references
  • Open positions across India
  • Direct enquiry, no intermediaries
§ 03Principle
A talented player in a small academy in a small town should not need a connection, a viral video, or a wealthy parent to be considered.

§ 04Process

How an academy joins the registry.

01
Application

The academy submits its details: location, age groups, coaching staff, facilities, player roster. A CRIB co-ordinator is assigned within two working days.

02
Verification

Documents are checked. Coaching certificates are confirmed with the issuing body. A physical or remote facility audit is scheduled. Player ages are verified against government records.

03
Onboarding

Verified academies receive CRIB accreditation (Tier I, II, or III). Players are added to the National Index. Match-recording protocols and combine-test guidelines are issued.

04
Operation

Match logs and combine results are uploaded on a continuous basis. Player rankings recalculate monthly. Annual re-audit maintains accreditation.

§ 05 / Registration is open

If your academy trains
cricketers in India,
you belong on the registry.

Registration is currently open for academies operating in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi NCR. National rollout follows the Q3 pilot.
